Course inclusions vary by workshop. The Beekeeping Workshop includes a wooden beehive frame with beeswax foundation and a $5 discount on the NSW Department of Primary Industry's 'Bee AgSkills' book. Composting and worm farm courses offer discounted bins and resources available for purchase on the day. Cheese-making courses include 20% discounts on equipment purchases.

Most sustainability courses are adult-focused. Home Composting, Setting up a Worm Farm, and Kintsugi Ceramic Repair are designed for adults and not suited to young children. The 'Get Clucking' chicken care course is suitable for ages 14 and above. The Introduction to Beekeeping welcomes families with children, though children do not require a separate ticket.

Class sizes are kept small for personalized instruction. The Beekeeping Workshop is limited to 8 participants, the Alterations and Mending Workshop to 4 participants, and the Sourdough Bread Workshop to a maximum of 7 participants to maintain an informal, interactive format.

Preparation depends on the specific course. For fruit tree pruning workshops, bring gardening gloves, a hat, and clean sharp secateurs. For composting and worm farm workshops, wear outdoor footwear and sunscreen if weather permits outdoor viewing of on-site facilities. For hands-on courses like cheese-making, no prior experience is required. Contact Edendale on 9433 3711 to discuss accessibility needs or specific preparation requirements.
